They did not perform well when sudden brakes very applied.

The Silverado with 5.3 liter engine offers greater fuel economy. It has been calculated that the engines active fuel management can save up to 20% fuel. For the base models they offered the fuel economy of 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined.

Chevrolet Silverado Quality

The fabrics used in the interiors are also appealing to the eye. Some Silverado models that are more work-oriented have a simpler and  more upright designs, with larger door handles and controls GM has paid attention to the smallest details like tighter seals, smaller door gaps which eliminates the wind noise The Silverado provides true refinement inside the cabin.

The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 provides basic safety features like antilock brakes, and StabiliTrak. It is an electronic stability control that intervenes when you accidentally exceed the limits to bring the vehicle back under control. The main drawbacks that were noted were optional bed liners could be added, safety features can be enhanced to offer better protection.
