Corvette C7 To Be Launched In 2012

There have been rumors about the next generation Chevrolet Corvette C7 from the time Corvette C6 has been launched.  The General Motors new model extravaganza in Detroit shared reports that the next generation Vette will be launched in the market by 2012. It was earlier told that GM had put C7 Corvette on hold due to the company’s weak balance sheet and uncertain CAFÉ regulations as of late 2008.  These issues are now resolved and hence the company has taken the decision to launch the new model. The report mentions the date of commencement of project as April 2012 and for sale as 2013. Auto Union – The New Group Formed By The Merger Of VW And Porsche

There have been rumor from late July when Porsche announced that the company’s CEO Wendelin Wiedking would be resigning his position and would be replaced by Michael Macht to lay foundation of a joint business under VW leadership. The news have been confirmed by two VW supervisory Board members that Volkswagen and Porsche have broadly agreed to sign a deal and to have a joint business The combined entity would be led by VW CEO Martin Winterkorn and would be recognized under the brand name “Auto Union”.  It has been decided to offer a new name to this merger to make it clear that it is not only VW who will be running the whole show. Formula 1 Champion Michael Schumacher Calls Off F1 Come Back Plan

Seven times Formula 1 Champion Michael Schumacher has cancelled his eagerly anticipated Formula1 comeback with Ferrari because of the neck injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash this year. He was supposed to join the Italian team at the European Grand Prix in Valencia on August 23 as a replacement for the injured Felipe Massa. Schumacher confirmed that he had called Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo and team Principal Stefano Domenicali that he would not be able to step in for Felipe. He says he had tried his best to make a temporary comeback possible but could not manage to take a grip on the pain in the neck which occurred after the private F1 day in Muggello.
