2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Betters Its Lap Timing

It seems like Porsche and Nissan are working hard to make them selves felt in the industry. Every few weeks automakers are coming out with a new Nurburgring lap time for their new models. Lately Nissan claimed that its 2010 ‘Series II’ GT-R offered a lap time of 7m 26.7s while General Motors immediately remarked within a short time that its Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 super car offered an even better lap time of 7m 22.4 seconds. Earlier during this month there were reports that Porsche shaved off 10 seconds the Nurburgring lap time for the 2010 911Turbo .They now complete the circuit in 7m 39s.  The Porsche New edition 2010 911 GT3 RS claims to offer a more aggressive lap time. Volkswagen is all set to launch the 2010 Volkswagen GTI which is based on the earlier Golf model.  The 2010 GTI will be priced at $23,290 for its base edition. This would offer a tough competition to MINI Cooper, Honda Civic Si and Mazda speed3. Daimler Enters The EV Segment

Daimler recently announced that it has plans to revamp and expand its Rastatt factory by 2011. They have plans to invest over 600 million euros to update their existing premises before they launch the next gen sub compact and compact A and B Class Vehicles. The company has announced that they had plans in the pipeline for many years but finally they have decided to put it into works. The most exciting part of the news was that Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche has confirmed that the next gen A class that they are going to debut will spawn a BEV version by the end of next year. Mazda has launched the Sky range with traditional engine which has put many car enthusiasts into an apprehension whether the company would discontinue with their RX-8 which is the only car with a rotary engine. To put all your worries at ease, we would like to remind you that Mazda had previewed a new rotary design known as the 16X in 2007. 2010 Mazda RX-8 has set its goal of using technologies to improve its average fuel economy of vehicles by 30% by 2015 in comparison to its 2008 levels. Nissan unveiled its latest land Glider which is designed for a future city EV commuter. The Land Glider is an electrically driven car with an interesting tilting car concept like the leaf. The Land glider is extremely small, just 122 inches long and a mere 43 inches across which makes it easy to drive and park. It is fun and funky and takes very little space on the roads.
