The 2010 Acura RDX drives its power from a turbocharged 2.3 liter four cylinder engine capable of churning maximum power of 240 hp and maximum torque of 260 lb ft. the engine remains the same for both the front-wheel and all-wheel drive variants of Acura RDX. The power is taken to either the front-wheel or to the all-wheel drive through the only five speed automatic transmission system with manual shift control. The SH-AWD system used here not only distributes the power in between the front and rear axles, but also in between the left and right wheels, this ensures optimal traction in ever condition.

In our acceleration testing the all-wheel-drive RDX sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, which is one of the fastest times taken by the compact luxury crossovers. The estimated fuel economy for 2010 Acura RDX is of 21 mpg average combined both for highway and city while the same for the SH-AWD is of 19 mpg.
