2011 Mercedes Benz R Class Ready To Receive A New Facelift

All automotive companies are working hard to make themselves felt in the automotive market. Mercedes Benz is also working on strategies to maintain its brand name in the market. After the debut of R class, the sales figures of this edition did not satisfy the German brand. To increase their sales figures Merc offered a mild facelift to the R class edition.
The spy cameras have caught prototypes of the 2011 R Class edition being tested in Germany. This is in fact the second planned update by the German company.
The first update took place merely two year after the launch, i.e. during the 2005 New York Auto Show. The first facelift was executed to increase the popularity of the car. The facelift added a cheaper rear wheel drive model along with a flexible seven seater model to their line up.
It is estimated that the second update will offer a new styling to the front fascia as well as the rear end of the vehicle and give a complete new look to this edition. The images captured by the spy camera depict angular headlights and a large prominent grille similar to the A and B class models. The rear end features minor updates with a revamped LED tail light, exhaust tip and a redesigned bumper.
It is expected that the 2011 Mercedes Benz R Class will be launched in the second half of next year.
All car enthusiasts will be able to get a glimpse of this edition at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show which will be held in January.
