However it is slightly larger than the Fiat 500 and Beetle which gives it an edge in the small car segment. It is noted that there is limited leg space at the rear end while the trunk can hold aproximately160 liters which is slightly bigger than the older edition.
Powertrain
BMW Mini Cooper will offer options of four engine types a 1.4 liter petrol engine which would generate 95 bhp which is not very powerful. The optional 1.6 liter diesel engine which produces 110 bhp which is much better in comparison to the 1.4 liter engine. It also offers an option of 1.6 liter engine which would deliver 120bhp. The Cooper S would be powered by turbocharged 1.6 liter engine which would pump out 175 bhp.
The Mini offers a superb performance keeping up to the BMW reputation It offers a smooth ride even on bumpy roads. It has been designed to offer a better performance than its earlier edition.

WHY WOULD SOME ONE BUY A SMALL CAR FOR 20-25 LAKHS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF LUXARY…PERSON BUYING SUCH A CAR MUST BE FOOL OR MUST BE VERY RICH
Don’t tell me It is true! Mini Cooper in India! Oh my ghosh! This will be a dream come true for many auto buffs.
I completely agree with William! In India only filthy rich people will buy this car for their status and no one else can afford it.
This car is costly everywhere in the world. Its simply the looks and its compactness which attracts people.
After Volkswagen Beetle being launched in India, all auto makers are targeting India for small segment.
I don’t know why the auto companies are launching in India. Currently, the roads of India are not meant for these cars.
It is really a good news that Auto makers are investing on Indian soil and i also wish them all the best
After launch of such expensive and beautiful cars, may be people of India change their views for buying new cars.
All these cars will be a waste in India as there is hell lot of traffic and there are no fixed rules anywhere. People won’t have space to utilize all the equipments and features of any such cars.
really can understand why targetting indian market … don’t you feel the roads and climatic condition are not ment for the mini copper
