The main drawback that we noted was that it was hard to drive this vehicle up on the hilly roads or on busy fee ways. We also disliked the steering feel that it offers. We found that there was a marginal difference in fuel economy in the front wheel and all wheel drive. The front wheel drive was estimated to offer 17 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined. The all wheel drive gets a slightly lower mileage of 16mpg in the city, 22 mpg on highway and 18 mpg combined.  Overall we felt that the power as fuel economy is mundane, but 2009 Buick has handled it very well.

Buick Enclave Quality :

The New Buick has been designed to offer maximum comfort to its passengers. The car has been designed to perfection using such good quality that it has well insulated against noise. The delightfully sound free interiors offer more comfort to the passengers while they travel on the long hauls. The interiors are adequately roomy with sufficient legroom and head room to seat passengers in the cabin. The seats also offer ample comfort while traveling, the second row seats fold forward making way for an adult to seat in the third row. We found that the third row a little stuffy to be seated. There is sufficient space behind the third row to carry cargo or goods while traveling. The interiors are tastefully done using good décor and materials. The dash board is very appealing with camphor burl wood appliqués and chrome trim. The steering is enveloped in a leather wheel rim which enhances the looks and makes handling convenient. The only drawback that we could note was the harsh plastics that were used on the back of the steering wheel hub.

During the various crash tests were conducted it was seen that this model scored five stars for front and side impact protection, and four stars for rollover resistance. The 2009 Buick Lacrosse performs very well on roads and the super edition is exclusive in all respects. The Buick CX and CXL model comes with a 200 horsepower, 3.8 liter V6 engine which offers brisk takeoffs but lacks passing power. The engine performs adequately well for daily commutes. The Buick super edition model is powered by 300 horsepower 5.3 liter V8 engine. The V8 is equipped with General Motors AFM (active fuel management) which uses lesser fuel as it cuts fuel to four of the eight cylinders when less power is required. These new models are outfitted with four speed transmission which offers a smooth ride but requires a deep stab of the throttle to downshift for passing punch. However there are other competitors of Buick who offer five or six speed transmission which works as a drawback in comparison to its competitors. We found that the base suspension had been upgraded with Bilstein monotube struts but was still not superb, it offered bumps at higher speed. The brakes are also revamped with larger rotors but could not offer the efficiency that one would expect. We found that the fuel efficiency was acceptable at 17 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined which was offered by the CX and CXL trims while the super edition offered 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 19 mpg on combined roads.

2009 Buick Lacrosse Quality:

The 2009 Buick Lacrosse is perfectly designed to offer smooth ride with lots of cargo space. It offers front bucket seat to comfortably seat five passengers, however for taller passengers they may not be very convenient as they lack rear seat leg room. They are super sized cars and offer enough storage space inside the cabin. The trunk area where things can be stored has low leftover and non intrusive lid hinges with small openings which make it difficult to store bulky goods. The control panels are perfectly laid to offer convenience to the driver. We found that the noise levels were minimal and it was extremely quiet as we traveled down the lanes.The interiors also have a well planned and laid out design. Even though soft leather is used for the interiors the plastics that is used on door panels are of inferior quality and do not provide the fineness and richness that one would expect. Overall we found that the Buick is a quiet sedan car which can seat five passengers in comfort but the quality of the interiors used is not up to the expectation of the consumers.

2009 Buick Lacrosse Safety:

The 2009Buick Lacrosse which is an oversized car, offers all safety features such as anti lock brakes,  dual front airbags, side curtain air bags, antilock four wheel disc brakes, tire pressure monitor, and daytime running lights. The electronic stability control is included in the super model but is available at an additional cost in the CX and CXL models. We found that the visibility was not an issue in this model.There were many test conducted to check the efficiency of the standard features and it scored a five out of five stars for frontal impact protection, four stars for rear side impact protection and only three stars for  front side impact protection.

Lacrosse is a family sedan that offer quietness and comfort while traveling. The main highlights of this car are that it is quite spacious with extremely quiet interiors and loads of features. The main drawbacks that we noted are this model did not fare well in the front side impact crash test results, some inferior quality interior materials were used, only four speed automatic transmission was available and cramped rear legroom could offer discomfort for taller passengers.
