The first official image of the Aptera has been revealed on various websites. The company had announced in March last year that they were ready for production and were in the procedure of acquiring the desired equipment and workforce to execute their plans.
It has been revealed that the Aptera 2e will feature fully operational windows for the driver and the passengers. The interiors of the car are little more spacious when compared to a Mini Cooper and Chevrolet Volt. The 2e is equipped with a new electronic interface that has been dubbed from Eva which controls the infotainment, electronic systems and the heating air controls.
The all electric model is equipped with a battery pack of 10-13 kwh charge and a range of up to 100 miles per charge. This model weighs 1500 pounds curb weight. The standard features included in the 2e version are tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry etc.
Aptera has plans to produce different editions of the 2e viz. gasoline model, plug in hybrid and an all electric model. However the company plans to debut their all electric version in the first week of October. Initial sales of the Aptera 2e electric version will be from California by late 2010.
It is estimated that the 2e will cost approximately between $25,000 and $ 45,000.

We had nearly forgotten about the Dodge Challenger SRT10. It’s not that we don’t love the idea of forcing the 8.4-liter V10 from the mighty Dodge Viper into the nose of Chrysler’s muscle car, it’s just that cars built for SEMA typically have a shelf life shorter than an unpeeled banana. So it came as some surprise when our keen-eyed spy shooters happened to spot the roided-out 600-horsepower Challenger cruising around public streets.
