Resale value of 2010 Ford Taurus value jumps to 39 percent

It has been a year since the 2010 Ford Taurus came out and it is still quite popular in the market. The average resale value of this car recently jumped up to 39 percent which is about $7,100 as compared to the 2009 model. According to Rose Peng, manager of Global Lifecycle Analytics Department (GLAD), this increase in price reiterates the appeal of this vehicle. She further added that the success of this car can be attributed to the successful launch of the car and also the because of the state of the art technology that it has. The design is really good and the car has improved a lot as compared to previous automobiles from the same manufacturer.

The resale value of this car is now better than 2010 Toyota Avalon, which is a really strong competitor of Taurus. Peng said the 2009 Taurus was sold at a much less price than the 2009 Avalon. Now, the 2010 Toyota Avalon costs $2,500 less than the Taurus. There has been no compromise made in quality either so it is really impressive that there is such a high demand for this car.

Manager of Ford North American Car Marketing, Steve Ling said that the various improvements in the car is the secret behind the strong sales. He further added that sales of this car were 154% more as compared to 2009. The incentives, per car, were reduced by more than $1,600 per car. The good quality of the car is what made them to buy it. This car has also got a lot of awards including International Car of the Year and 2010 Best Redesigned Vehicle by kbb.com.
