These days the automotive market is flooded with information about new supercars that are launched or are ready to be launched. To join this bandwagon Lamborghini is ready to test drive their new version. The streets of Germany are a witness to many such brands test driving their machines.
It is believed that Lamborghini is yet to finalize on the name of this new car but it is expected that the new car will be much lighter than the Murcielago it replaces. It is difficult to speculate on the final specs but it is expected that the company would adopt Audi’s R8 aluminum space frame chassis as well as a carbon fiber body shell. According to the fender flares in the spy shots, reveals that the wheelbase will be similar in length to the Murcielago but it overhangs, the front and rear wheels will be much shorter.
The engineers are trying to develop a good performance car and have hence mounted a RoaDyn torque sensor used to monitor the different forces and torque levels exerted on a specific wheel at different speeds. The data which will be gathered from the test run will enable the engineers to fine tune the vehicle in such a way that it provides maximum comfort and grip while driving.
The engineers are planning to boost performance by using direct injection technology to the V12 engine. Lamborghinis recently launched LP670-4SV gives us a rough estimate of what the new car will have in hold. The engineers might decide to use a dual touch transmission to help transfer power to the four wheels.
Lamborghini is also planning to introduce a hybrid technology as well as fuel saving engine stop and start and brake-energy regeneration technologies.
Stephan Winkelmann has already tipped that the new Hybrid Model will be launched in 2015 while before that they are in process to launch a super car in 2012.
