Rolls Royce Phantom Electric Edition Is The New Brainchild From Rolls Royce



Rolls Royce is generally associated with luxury, unwavering styling blended well with the old world charm. These days when major automakers are into the foray of manufacturing electric vehicles, Rolls Royce does not wish to be left behind.

Rolls Royce CEO, Tom Purves recently announced that this elegant vehicle when combined with an electric engine would make a terrific combination. Rolls Royce is already known for its urban propriety, quiet operations and instantaneous torque. These qualities would help in making of an imposing electric Phantom car.

There are rumors that Rolls Royce would have an electric Phantom ready before the 2012 London Olympic. It is believed that this edition would star as a highlight of BMW’s sponsorship for the global sporting event.

The Rolls Royce Phantom electric edition would offer a quiet ride and instantaneous torque delivery. This edition would also assist in offsetting CO2 emission and aid in meeting tougher regulations coming into play in Europe.

There are reports from insiders that the company has finished with the engineering design but no prototypes have been built yet.

Once they start production they plan to produce the electric Phantom in limited editions.  This special edition would be available to a handful of select customers around the globe.
