Sneak Preview: 2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta



The automobile industry is well aware of the ongoing alliance of Chrysler and the Italian auto giant and all car enthusiasts are eagerly waiting Alfa Romeo’s return to the US.

Its upcoming model caries a lot of importance as it will be the base for the new Chrysler sedan which will debut in US. The new Alfa Romeo model will replace the hatchback that was sold overseas.

Alfa Romeo has gleefully revealed its official tile. The new edition will be known as ‘2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta’. There are rumors that the company had proposed that the new edition would be called the ‘Milano’ but the name had to be swapped due to a dispute between the Alfa Romeo workers in Milan and Fiat. The workers were upset as the company had shut down its operations in Milan where it was founded ninety nine years ago but still wanted to use the Milano name for its latest edition.

2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The new 2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be available in a five door edition and will compete against Ford Focus and VW Golf.

The Giulietta will hone an impressive silhouette with a new multi link design at the rear. It is expected that the new edition will offer options of turbocharged engines which will generate between 120 horsepower and 170 horsepower.  It would be teamed with five speed and six speed manual transmission and plans to later introduce the new dual clutch automatic option. The company also proposes to launch a high performing 230hp engine very soon. The new Giulietta will feature a Macpherson strut suspension set up in the front.

All car buffs that are eagerly waiting for its debut in US will have to wait till early 2011.

    Chrysler and Fiat together, I don’t think there will be any chance of error in any department. Chrysler known for its super luxury cars and Alfa Romeo as legend of Italy.

    At olden times known as one of the biggest giant in the automobile industry. Till date has maintained its reputation. I can say very confidently that once a person starts driving this car, it won’t switch to any other company.
