There is news that Ford Mustang will return with a new edition of 2011 Ford Mustang. The new Mustang edition will be a crowd pulling muscle car. Ford unveiled its new edition at the Los Angeles Auto Show which was held earlier this month.

The new edition will be equipped with an upgraded 3.7 liter V6 engine which will generate 305 horsepower and 280 pounds feet of torque. There are rumors that the company plans to unveil the Blue Oval at the 2010 Detroit Show.  This new edition will feature a 5.0 liter V8 engine which would generate 412 horsepower and 390 pounds feet of torque which is just 14 hp away from that delivered by Chevrolet Camaro SS. This edition would offer an option of six speed manual or automatic transmission. The six speed manual transmission claims to offer an impressive fuel economy of 16 mpg on city levels and 24 mpg on highways while the automatic transmission would offer 17 mpg city level and 25 mpg on highway.

The main highlight of the new 5.0 liter engine is the specially designed tubular exhaust headers; Ti- VCT cam torque actuated variable camshaft timing system and all aluminum four valve per cylinder engine design. They also offer the option of a Brembo brake package with large rotors and calipers from Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang, 19 inch wheels along with summer performance tires.

Ford engineers have worked hard to offer improved rear lower arm which would add stiffness and improve powertrain harshness control and also offer an overall refined handling and ride. The engineers have also included a stiffened rear stabilizer bar which would enhance on centre steering.
