Sneak Preview: 2011 Hyundai Sonata

The sixth generation of the popular Sonata edition has already made its debut in South Korea snubbing all rumors of its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto show.
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata which is a mid size family sedan is estimated to be priced at an approximate $20,000. It has been designed at Hyundai’s orange County, California office.
Body Style:
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is designed with a larger body size stretching 19cms in length, 72 inches in width and 58 inches in height. The wheelbase of this edition would measure 110 inches. It adopts a fluidic sculpture body style which is very catchy to the eyes.
Features:
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata would feature a 2.0 liter V6 engine; however the US edition would feature a 2.4 liter Theta II GDI unit. The engine would be teamed with six speed automatic transmission for better performance. The new edition will include additional features such as three piece panoramic sun roof, an 8 inch interface, parking guide system and a premium sound system.
This edition will fulfill all the safety requirements as it includes Brake assist system function, Vehicle Dynamic Control including Hill start Assist Control.
It is expected that the company might present a hybrid version of the Sonata later next year. Hyundai will target the US market with its first gas electric effort. The hybrid version will use lithium batteries to provide energy to its electric motors and gas engines.
