Volkswagen Golf R32 is recognized as one of the perfect hatchback package that is available in the market as it offers a true combination of features, power, handling and style at an affordable price. The R32 is now ready for an update.

The 2011 Volkswagen Golf R was first introduced last year at Frankfurt and presently it was launched in Ellmau Austria over the weekend.  The images that have been captured of this edition depict that the 2011 Golf R will feature the same powerplant as the off limit Scirocco R. This powertrain will be teamed with 4Motion all wheel drive system.

The new edition is expected to undergo significant developments which would assist in offering a good performance. The highlight of this edition is the activation of the all wheel differential which no longer requires a difference between the front and rear axle speed. In extreme cases almost 100% of the drive torque will be headed towards the rear axle. This feature would assist in offering dynamic performance and active safety.

The VW Golf R would be equipped by a very powerful 2.0 liter TSI engine which would generate an output of 265 horsepower.  This edition would accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds while the edition which is equipped with the optional DSG dual clutch gear box will sprint in 5.5 seconds. It will accelerate at a top speed of 155 mph.

The VW Golf R would offer a 21% improved fuel consumption in comparison to R32. This edition is well tuned and offers an option of DCC Dynamic chassis control which continually adapts suspension damping to the roadway and driving situation. It also offers the driver to manually activate the Sport or Comfort mode from the standard Normal mode.

To offer a refined ride the Golf R  chassis will feature a McPherson  strut suspension with heklical springs and multi link set up in the rear and  telescoping shock absorbers  up front.. This edition will also feature an improved braking system. It is equipped with a 17 inch brake system instead of a 16 inch system and all brakes have internally ventilated discs and R specific calipers that are painted with R- logo.

The VW Golf R features standard 18 inch wheels and an option of 19 inch wheels. This edition is well crafted to offer a distinguishing look with an aggressive hood scoop. It also features bi xenon headlights, centrally mounted exhaust pipes, and a large roof spoiler which helps to differentiate this edition from the other Golf models.

The interiors sport heated and leather trimmed bucket seats with an option of shell seats, aluminum door sills, stainless steel pedals, multi function three spoke  leather steering wheels and Golf R logo littered across the cabin.

All auto enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting for the sonorous six cylinder will be highly disappointed as this feature will not be available however, the 2.0 liter engine offers more potential for tuning.

Overall the 2011 Volkswagen Golf R edition will impress most hatch car aficionados; this edition is likely to adorn the showroom windows in the first half of the year.
