Sneak Preview: 2012 Mercedes Benz SLK

The current edition of the Mercedes Benz SLK was introduced in 2004 and is well recognized with the masses. The cutting edge design of this edition looks feeble despite a mid cycle facelift. The company has plans to introduce a new roadster which is already under works and has been spotted on various occasions.
There is information from the onlookers that the new edition will sport a new sleek look after shedding some pounds. It is probable that the next gen edition would lose around 200 pounds weights. It would be designed to increase the capacity of the trunk to 11.2 cubic feet. From the images that were captured depicts that the new system would sit lower and would be slightly shorter than the current edition.
It is anticipated that the next gen edition will sport a more powerful engine to offer better performance. However the company’s debut edition would feature a tried and tested gasoline engine with evolutionary developments. There is a possibility that the standard 6.2 liter V8 engine would be replaced by the 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine that would generate over 470 horsepower. The overseas edition could probably be equipped with 2.2 liter four cylinder diesel engine which would generate 204 horsepower and 369 pounds feet of torque similar to the one found in C250 CDI.
Mercedes has discussed introducing the diesel engine to the US but in the GLK edition and C class editions only.
The spy shots do not reveal much information about its exterior silhouette. The general proportion of the car is not very clear however, images depict that the next gen edition will feature a longer hood and more rear ward seating position. The door mounted side mirrors would stand on thinner stalks in comparison to current edition. The angle between the rear deck area and the rear of the hard top looks identical to the SLS AMG super car to a great extent.
Though Mercedes has picked up styling cues from other edition, the overall outcome will be fabulous and extra ordinarily appealing.

Merc is launching a heavy stock into market. They have got huge plans to conquer the market all over again.
The shape of this car is different than the older version SLK. Fully black color is a great idea by them.
I think this will be their 1st car totally black! Its like a Batman car. Something different from the box.
Merc is concentrating more on style this season of their launch as their performance has been great as always.

Its SLS has also got a appealing shape and the car is HOT!
