Spied: Mini Cooper Diesel S Edition

All Mini enthusiasts can rejoice as there is some good news for all you guys. All those who have wished for a more powerful Mini Cooper diesel model might find their dreams coming true very soon.
There were prototypes of the Mini Cooper S model that were seen in Germany which made a typical diesel engine sound. The images depict that the new edition will feature a centrally mounted exhaust and a slightly restyled front bumper.
It is estimated that the new Mini edition would feature all the elements of a sporty Cooper S edition and the fuel efficiency of the Mini diesel. This sporty edition would generate an output between 140 and 150 horsepower.
Mini has been tightlipped about their plans to venture into any such new model. Bur from the sketches and the information gathered from onlookers it looks like this new edition sports hatch is still in its teething stages and would enter production by next year. Mini might later plan to move into the US segment.
