Update: 2011 Mercedes Benz S Class Coupe

Like most automakers Mercedes is also all set to revamp its earlier models. They have already started the trend by offering an update on the CLK which has been replaced by the 2010 E Class Coupe. Mercedes is all set to phase out the CL name with the introduction of new editions. It is been rumored that the new edition will be known as the S class coupe and will come in the 2011.
The current C 216 CL edition of Mercedes which was launched in 2006 is now getting ready with its updated version. The prototype of this updated version has already been noticed on the streets of Germany. The new edition boasts of a new headlight design and LED lights along with an upright grille which is highlighted with a single chrome bar. The rear end features a new bumper design and different shape exhaust tip with clear LED rear lights.
The engineers have designed the updated edition using the same V8 and V12 power trains for the S class coupe. They working hard to increase the efficiency and hence plan to modify the existing exhaust filtering system and introduce engine stop start and direct injection technologies.
