The automobile segment is swarming with news from all automakers about the facelift that they plan to undergo on their current editions. Volkswagen has also decided to offer a facelift to the Tiguan edition. VW Tiguan has been in production for a little over two years but the company has plans to upgrade this compact SUV. The company plans to make amendments to keep in line with the rest of the VW family.
It is expected that VW will make cosmetic changes to the Tiguan edition. The new edition would be styled with a more pedestrian friendly bonnet with redesigned front grille and new bumpers. The spy shots floated on various websites reveal that no major changes will be done on the rear end body style.
The recent sketches reveal what the new gen Tiguan edition would look like when it will be seen on the streets.
Volkswagen plans to make changes in its power train also. It will introduce a range of more powerful engines with more stringent fuel economy and emission regulations. The company has plans to come with a Hybrid edition also, but it would be possible only after a few years of the debut of the next gen Tiguan edition.

Volkswagen plans to launch the new edition as 2011 VW Tiguan by late next year.
