Volkswagen introduced its New Beetle over a decade back and the company has not made any significant changes in this edition but still this edition continues to enjoy strong sales. has proudly announced that they have sold more than one million Beetle cars. The company now plans to follow suit of other companies and launch their new gen car. The company proposes to debut this new car by late 2012 or early 2013.

Volkswagen US Chief, Stefan Jacoby confirmed this news and stated that the company plans to design the new edition with more rear legroom and a better body style.  He added that the company plans to outsell the current model. The VW engineers are leaving no stone unturned to achieve this goal.

There is not much information that has been leaked by the company except that it will be the same size like its successor and it will be manufactured by the company in its Mexico branch.
