VW New Compact Coupe concept unveiled at the 2010 Detroit Auto show

Volkswagen introduced their New Compact Coupe car at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. The Volkswagen Jetta sedan or Jetta Coupe is a sleek stylish and a well formed car. This edition is ideally designed to slot in between the Passat CC and the Scirocco line up. This new edition offers succor to numerous US buyers who are still lamenting the company’s decision to not introduce the funky Scirocco to the dealers.
It s exterior silhouette would measure 178 .5 inches in length, 70.1 inch across and 55.6 inch in height. This edition will offer seat 2+ 2 seating. However we feel that the cabin is not spacious enough to comfortably seat tall passengers.
Unlike the Scirocco the new edition will eco friendly and will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain.
Volkswagen is known to offer good performance and hence it will powered by 1.4 liter gasoline engine which would generate 150horsepower and also teamed with an electric motor that would run on lithium ion batteries it will send power to the front wheels with the help of 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.
This edition would sprint from zero to 60 mph in around 8.1 seconds. It can accelerate at a top speed of 141 mph.
This edition will also be equipped with engine stop and start system and brake energy recovery system which would as it in reducing fuel consumption. This powerful engine would also offer an impressive fuel economy 56 mpg.
The New Compact Coupe car will be equipped with a galore of features such as metal surrounds on all air vents, radio navigation system, climate control, multi function keys on the steering wheel, gear shift unit and white accents on the door trim and instruments.

Detroit show must have been huge success for all the auto companies. So many cars to be launched!
VW has always been a neat car! Though it’s a concept, there’s not much changes been made just a little here and there.
Again this car is going to be green in future. I don’t understand if they are going green why are they making it Gasoline. Many of them have started adopting Hybrid cars.
